Molletta Iron Bench
Molletta Iron is the new iron version of Molletta, the iconic bench by Baldessari & Baldessari, designed for Riva.
Playing with typical off-scale pop art, cedar wood gives the hyper-natural interpretation of the material. The object is appropriate in this kind of a double life: the first one is wide seat designed for large indoor and outdoor, and the second is that of powerful sculptural element, able to define the identity of the space surrounding. The clip is exaggerated but also a tribute to the simple design and anonymous that has always shared our daily lives quietly at home. The strength of this aesthetic CLIP owes much to the wise processing of solid wood that Riva 1920 has its tradition. In particular, in this session, working miter enhances the grain and shades of natural cedar, almost creating a virtual texture that covers the entire object.
