The Panton Chair, conceived by Verner Panton for Vitra, is the result of a long design research that was developed in 1960.Verner Panton thought for many years about a synthetic chair produced in one piece. In the 1960s, the first prototypes were created in collaboration with Vitra and from 1967 the Panton Chair was mass-produced. The Panton Chair Classic has a shell made entirely of plastic with rigid foam and a lacquered surface finish in black, green, red and white.
