Tartan Suspension Lamp
Tartan is a blown glass suspension lamp, designed by Ludovica and Roberto Palomba for Foscarini.
Tartan, is a lamp made using the technique of mouth blowing into a mould with a design engraved in it, enriching it with lines and folds echoing the weave of Scottish cloth and a graphic play of light and shadow. The acid etching technique used on the surface of the glass also produces a sensation of material softness which brings fabric to mind. Tartan has a design rich with an attractive personality, diffuses a warm, suffused light into the environment filtered with mattglass and also ensures good direct lighting in a downwards direction.
