Wassily chair by Marcel Breuer is a piece designed for Knoll named after the painter Wassily Kandinsky. It is made of bent tubular steel with a polished chrome finish and durable natural canvas straps.The Wassily chair was designed by Marcel Breuer for the apartment of the painter Wassily Kandinsky in 1925 when he still was an apprentice of the Bauhaus school. This armchair is also known as Modello B3. Inspired by the frame of a bicycle and influenced by the constructivist theories of the De Stijl movement, Breuer reduced the form of the classic club chair to its elemental lines and planes.
