Aella T45 "Openworked" - Table Lamp
Aella T45 Openworked is a special edition of the famous Aella designed by Toso&Massari, and produced by the Leucos brand.More than 50 years after its first debut, LEUCOS launches a special edition of Aella, the iconic lamp designed by the architect duo Toso & Massari. A journey that began in 1968 and culminates today with the "openworked" Aella T 45. The latter is a table version inspired by Swiss skeleton watches where the beauty and complexity of the mechanics are exposed rather than hidden. "Openworked" enhances the timeless elegance of the Aella and at the same time distinguishes it from the 1968 edition with an innovative design. The lamp is characterised by a transparent hand-blown glass diffuser with a white pastel stain, the size and intensity of which depends on the skilful touch of the master glassmaker who creates unique and original pieces every time. And it is precisely this blowing that makes the diffuser an original LEUCOS-branded piece. The transparent finish base provides a unique perspective of the two raw natural copper stems, which will oxidise over time and acquire a unique and distinctive patina, serving both as supports for the COB and as conducting channels for the electrical wires that will energise the LED's diffuse and gentle light. Beneath the base, a laser-engraved brushed stainless steel plaque bears the name of the lamp, the year of production, its serial number, the designers' signature, and last but not least the LEUCOS spot logo. In addition, each 'Openworked' lamp is characterised by exclusive packaging in which each element is carefully designed.
