Agnese - Secret box
The Agnese Secret Box is a design object by architect and designer Ettore Sottsass for Serafino Zani's Numa. More than an object, it is a small work of architecture that gains symbolic value the moment it becomes part of our home. This philosophy was supported by the Contro Design movement of which Sottsass was a strong advocate. The Agnese Secret Box is an eye-catching accessory with a contrasting colour scheme between the electric blue base and the lid knob, and the brown of the precious wood. A slow workmanship of the materials produces an object of great quality. The Agnese Box is a 99-piece limited edition with a birch plywood frame covered with three layers of rosewood. Knob and base in lime wood. Blue aniline stain, wax finish.
