Cabanon Table Lamp
Cabanon is a table lamp designed by Le Corbusier and produced by Nemo.Nemo presents a previously unreleased design: a true philological journey to understand the foundations of Le Corbusier's philosophy. Born in 1952 on the shores of the French Riviera, "Cabanon" is the archetype of essential living. A project created according to the rules of the Modulor, a haven for the architect in the last years of his life. The Cabanon lamp was conceived precisely for that haven, a symbol of design, production and essential art. The base of the lampshade is a mortar shell holder, a real war relic found on the French beaches by the architect himself. The lampshade is made with tracing paper, a typical technique used by architects before the introduction of computers. A lamp that already existed in sketches and projects, which is now only just seeing the light of day.
