Cork Round Table Ø 120 cm
Cork Ø 120 cm is a table designed by Tom Dixon in collaboration with Amorim.
Part of a futuristic collection, that includes different pieces of furniture, Cork brings innovation departing from the most important element: the material. Characterised by soft round shapes and fat edged silhouettes, this is series is a new way of rethinking traditional materials into unique designs. Cork, in fact, is one of the oldest material in the world, appreciated for its versatility and elasticity, along with being waterproof and sound insulated by nature. The color, darker than the common material, is given by the heating process of the different foils, 100% recycled, that are pressed to give life to different shapes. The whole project is born from a joint partnership between Tom Dixon Studio and Corticeira Amorim, a Portuguese Multinational company with over 150 years of history that is now the biggest producer in the world, thanks also to its vision regarding sustanaibility and recyclable sources.
