Kay Songbird is part of Kay Bojesen's 'Birds' collection, based on Kay Bojesen's original designs from the 1950s. Kay is named after its designer.Kay Bojesen was fascinated by the songbirds outside his balcony in his room, so he put the entire collection to life with precious wood, creating an object of absolute quality and artistic beauty. This Key version is characterised by the colour blue, a shade that the designer loved to wear every day and which is reproduced in this beautiful bird in three vivid shades, for the head part a turquoise blue, the plumage a deep blue and the beak in the delicate shade of sky blue. The attention to detail in this little object is utmost, from the finishing touches to create a smooth structure bevelled in the corners, to the hand-painted details.
