MM8 Table
MM8 is a table with powder-lacquered top made of 8 mm thick aluminum with shaped edge and double cylindrical base. Designed by Guglielmo Poletti for Desalto brand, available in two sizes and three different finishes.
MM8 table exploits the limit of the material in relation to the physical qualities of aluminum. The construction gives tension to the structure, allowing the top to reach a minimum thickness of 8 mm. The weights contained inside the two cylinders increase the rigidity of the surface, in order to guarantee a high stability. The composition gives monumentality to the piece, enhancing the contrast between the imposing volumes of the base and the extreme subtlety of the top.
