PK24™ Chaise Longue - Wicker by Fritz Hansen, is perhaps the best known of Danish designer Poul Kjærholm's achievements, a piece of furniture designed in 1965 that marked an era.PK24™ Chaise Longue - Wicker was born from the designer's observation of French furniture born in the Rococo era. From the old Baroque chaise longue, Kjærholm extrudes the line by making it essential and sinuous. The steel frame creates an undulating, welcoming line that accommodates the body in a sinuous, flowing form. First called the "Hammock Chair" to emphasize the seating experience, the PK24 is the clearest example of the designer's philosophy, which draws inspiration from curves and proportions to land on innovative and timeless designs.
