Ruché is a bed by Inga Sempé for Ligne Roset. Solid beechwood frame stained natural, anthracite and red. The low headboard and bed frame are upholstered in a thick quilted fabric, a sort of boutis or capitonné consisting of a checkerboard with interrupted stitching. From time to time stopped by stitches and then released, the fabric ”curls” here and there, which gives it its singular appearance and its name Ruché (curled or pleated fabric, garment ornament). The longish uprights and the undulations of the duvet form a harmonious whole of strict straight lines and soft curves. The seat suspension is Pullmaflex, the backrest suspension is made of a steel grid mounted on springs while the armrest suspension is made of elastic straps. In this version: Anthracite-stained beech frame, low feet and upholstery in cat. D – Harald 3 – 982 Bouteille (100% cotton). Included: Double charcoal-stained beech slats, mounted on resilient elastic supports and connected by a rubber strap. In the ‘shoulders’ area, the supports are suspended with a rubber system with variable depressions: this facilitates blood circulation and prevents cervical tension, which is very important when sleeping on one side. The central area (back and pelvis) has slats located below the upper double slats. Rubber sliders are attached to these lower slats, allowing the degree of softness or rigidity to be adjusted individually, in all cases maintaining the pleasant softness of the upper double slats. Its outer thickness is reduced to a minimum (6.5 cm) so that it can be inserted into almost any type of bed.
