Sheraton Sideboard
The Sheraton sideboard was created by the designers Lodovico Acerbis e Giotto Stoppino for the brand Acerbis. Doors with ''sliding'' opening, a novel system combining sliding and hinged opening. Glossy lacquered doors and tops in white, black and red. Chromed metal frames. Clear float glass shelves. Cabinet body matt lacquered in the same colour as the exterior. Drawer, bottom shelf and intermediate side panels also in black Eucalyptus wood. Option to add an additional internal drawer per centre compartment. A maximum of three internal drawers can be added. A storage unit with unusually wide doors, which can be opened thanks to an exclusive system, a 'sliding' door, which combines sliding and hinged opening. Sheraton has introduced a new relationship between a closed piece of furniture of extreme simplicity and formal purity and an open piece of furniture of total usability, even with sliding and aligned doors. Since 1977, a design icon, out of time and out of fashion.
