Ultima Thule is a collection by designer Tapio Wirkkala in 1968 for the Iittala brand. Made of blown glass effect, inspired by the melting ice in Lapland, each piece will be unique and no equal.Ultima Thule is an icon of Finnish design of the glass. The organic image of the surface of Ultima Thule is the unmistakable touch of the master of design Tapio Wirkkala. The latter applied the most of the skills of the craftsmen making the original and organic surface Ultima Thule by a mold carved out of wood. The collection is part of the bowl made of pressed glass.
